Watch the first official trailer for Mia Hansen-Løve’s latest film
A trailer has been released for Mia Hansen-Løve’s fourth feature, Eden (2014), which premiered in the Special Presentations section of the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival as well as screening at film festivals in New York and London.
Co-written with Hansen-Løve’s older brother Sven, a successful 90s DJ who served as the film’s inspiration, Eden tells the story of Paul (Félix de Givry), a young French disc jockey who pioneered the ‘French touch’ style of electronic dance music that became popular in the nineties.

After her previous, far mellower films such as Father of My Children (2009) and Goodbye First Love (2011), Eden looks to be Hansen-Løve’s most sprawling film to date, incorporating multiple transnational locations and, reportedly, a four-and-a-half-hour soundtrack.
The film also stars Hugo Conzelmann, Roman Kolinka, Pauline Etienne and Greta Gerwig.
Eden is due for release in UK cinemas on 24 July 2015.
